Book Update

Just a quick post to make an update on my 100 Books List. I finished reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath around 23rd January, finished Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman (reread) on 14th February, and finished Knife Edge by Malorie Blackman (reread) on 16th February. So an updated list:

  1. Before I Die - Jenny Downham
  2. The Last Taboo - Bali Rai
  3. The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath
  4. Noughts & Crosses - Malorie Blackman (reread)
  5. Knife Edge - Malorie Blackman (reread)

I need to get round to writing reviews soon.

I Like February

Mostly because it’s my birthday month. It was my birthday on Monday (2nd) and it was pretty amazing. It snowed, which is really rare for England, and the snow was like 7 inches deep. I got really pretty presents - images of my favourites are below (Harajuku Lovers Fragrance, Pinku Momiji Doll, Lace Bracelet, J’aime Paris Tee).

In order, they’re from my grandma, brother, dad and friends. My amazing online bffs (Claire, Peter, Kelly, Sophie) also got me something, but you’ll find out about that when I actually get round to properly reviving this site (:

Last night, I went to see Spring Awakening at the Hammersmith Lyric. The performance was brilliant, although I love the musical anyway. I’m going to see it again on the 26th and hopefully on March 14th too (last performance). If you’re in the area, go and see it. Seriously. Now.

My ticket, the programme and ‘Bitch of Living’ tee.

I thought this deserved a blog just because of the contents of it. It’ll probably be another month until I blog again assuming I continue being a major procrastinator, but in an ideal world I’d be updating this again in a few days. Highly doubt that though.

New Years Lists

With most sites I own, I usually forget about them after a month and then let them rot. And I did exactly that with Lilise, except I’m not quite sure it was even a month this time. I’m determined not to let this die yet, so I’m here to revive it =p

Since it’s a new year, I’ve decided to set myself some lists to complete. Not resolutions, since most people who make them never stick to them. My lists for this year are 100 Books in 2009 and 50 Films in 2009. The first should be really easy to achieve, and I’ll probably be able to get 50 films done if I keep watching them on a regular basis. I want to write reviews at some point about each item on the lists, so that I can finish it coming out with something more productive than reading and watching. I’ve already read 2 books and watched 1 film, so I want to write those reviews some time this week.

On another note, I’ve really got to change this layout soon. It’s getting really old.
