on the radio

i seriously wish i had written all of the song ‘on the radio’ by regina spektor, but more specifically:

this is how it works
you’re young until you’re not
you love until you don’t
you try until you can’t
you laugh until you cry
you cry until you laugh
and everyone must breathe
until their dying breath

this is how it works
you peer inside yourself
you take the things you like
and try to love the things you took
and then you take that love you made
and stick it into some–
someone else’s heart
pumping someone else’s blood
and walking arm in arm
you hope it don’t get harmed
but even if it does
you’ll just do it all again

her music is amazing and she’s such an inspiration.
random musing.

Alphabeat Concert

So on Tuesday night I went to the Alphabeat concert at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. We went by tube, and the weather was really crappy and cold (it snowed later that evening, and it’s October), but it was well worth it, since the concert was amazing.

It started with the two warm up acts - Electro-Dance group Pandering and The Golddiggers and Pop-Rock band Das Pop - who were both really great. Alphabeat came on at around 9pm and performed really well live - probably better than on their album. They had so much energy on stage and interacted with the crowd really well. Stine and Anders SG were so cute on stage dancing around ^^ Right from the beginning of the set with Fantastic 6, to the middle with Boyfriend (which Stine said was her favourite song - it’s probably mine too) and 10,000 Nights Of Thunder (everyone was jumping about and dancing in the crowd) to the end with Touch Me Touching You where we all sung along to some lyrics, and the encore of Fascination that everyone went mad and completely energetic over, not to mentioned the confetti they threw down at the end, they were fantastic. I’d really like to see them live again some time, hopefully in standing rather than seating since standing looked awesome.

I have a few pictures I took, and also a few videos which aren’t that good quality, but I’ll be getting some much better quality pics and videos tomorrow when I find the adaptor to upload them from my dad’s phone. And it was also pretty hard to take pictures because of how much I was enjoying myself, and all the awesome lights going on ;p For now though, there’s a few pictures below:
